Somerset Christian Academy was established in 2005 as a ministry of Somerset Bible Baptist Church. Our philosophy of Christian education is that “the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” (Proverbs 9:10).

We seek to combine academic excellence with Biblical values—building both the intellect as well as the heart of a child. Knowledge is vain without the wisdom and understanding to apply that knowledge in life and relationships.

Christian education places Jesus Christ at the center, and the truth of God’s Word at the foundation of all learning—therefore it provides the highest value of development and preparation for life.

We believe that the Christian school is a ministry of the local church to the Christian home. Our goal, therefore, is to help parents to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).

God has wonderfully blessed the Academy since it’s founding. Our program begins with K-4 and continues through the 12th grade.

SBBCA is also a member of the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS). We are also a part of the Garden State Association of Christian Schools.

(GSACS) We participate in a Christian School state wide spelling B, academic competition days, and fine arts competitions, with the chance to compete Nationally at Bob Jones University in South Carolina.

Our purpose is to partner with parents to bring up their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord while striving for academic excellence.
